COLLEGE LIFE-GOING TO HOSTEL-FEW TIPS-2

CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS POST:
HOME SICKNESS: Mentally, u have to make urself stronger...Try to control over ur emotions. This may be difficult, if u are an introvert: try to make friends as many as possible, and live as u lived with ur brothers and/or sisters. This will help divert ur attention and u wll less miss ur family at home.
RAGGING: There are anti-ragging committees in every college and also there are helpline numbers. As u enter hostel and settle, get to know the committee and help line numbers. Though there may be apprehensions, try to interact with seniors as cordially as u can....If in trouble with seniors, do not try to intermingle but get the help of ARC(anti-ragging committee).

ROOMMATES: It will help u if u take few days to understand the nature of ur roommate...it is reciprocal, because there may be misunderstanding sometimes, so solve it mutually and if necessary, u can initiate.

HOSTEL ATMOSPHERE: iN HOSTEL it is the responsibility of the Warden to maintain discipline and fulfill the needs of the hostelers....therefore, if she is strict, do not take otherwise...she has to answer the College Management Committee.....Follow the hostel rules, they are not so rigid, and u will get a smooth beginning and happy ending after completion of studies, may be one to three years or more if u go for PG.
